Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club

The replacement of this essential part of the Sumner community was an interesting project.  Architecture by Wilson and Hill provided an intelligent and practical response to the site and Earthwork complimented this in the landscape response. The project required a balance between public space use, council facilities and the facilities of the surf life saving club.  A simple and robust material and plant palette was used to compliment the building with native dunal planting blending the building seamlessly into the surrounding dune landscape.
